Joe “J.B.” Hall is in his third season coaching the cornerbacks under head coach Bob Stitt.
Before coming to Montana in 2015, Hall was a defensive graduate assistant at the University of Colorado for two seasons, where his primary role was assisting with the linebackers along with general overall duties in the entire defense. In his first season he assisted in coaching the defensive line.
He lettered four years as a wide receiver for the Adams State University Grizzlies and head coach Marty Heaton, where he had 39 receptions for 450 yards (11.5 per catch) and a touchdown. He also threw a touchdown pass that covered 13 yards as a senior against Western New Mexico. A team captain, he earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference academic team honors.
He was a youth sports camp coordinator at Boulder’s Family Learning Center for four summers (2009-12), involved in management, organization, teaching and education. He also was a volunteer coach at Centaurus High School in Lafayette, Colo., the summer of 2012, where he completed over 50 hours of coaching-related duties.
Hall graduated from Adams State University with a degree in human performance and physical education in May 2013 and a minor in marketing and coaching.
He is from Boulder, Colo., and graduated from Boulder High School where he lettered in football, basketball and track (sprints).
