2017: Strahm will be a top performer on the Montana defense, returning as Montana's second-leading tackler from 2016.
2016: Strahm was Montana’s second-leading tackler in his junior year with 70 tackles in 11 games … eight tackles for loss, totalling 39 yards of loss, fourth most on team … fourth most sacks also with 4.5 … one interception, which he returned 78 yards for a touchdown … had two pass breakups and three passes defended … forced a team-high three fumbles and also recovered a fumble … registered two QB hits, fourth-most on the team … two games with double-digit tackles, including a season-high 11 on Sep. 24 against Cal Poly … forced a fumble in three consecutive games.
2015: Strahm had an outstanding sophomore season, earning the Golden Helmet Award for the team’s hardest hitter... Named to the All-Big Sky third team for special teams … Also won Hauck Family Award for Special Teams Player of the Year at the annual Grizzly awards banquet … Played in all 12 of the Grizzlies’ games … UM’s 16th leading tackler with 23 takedowns … Had five tackles for loss worth 26 yards … Had two half-sacks worth a total of seven yards … Blocked a kick at Liberty on Sept 19.
2014: Played in 13 games. He had 20 total tackles, eight unassisted. He had half a sack for a loss of a yard.
2013: He was a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: He had an exceptional senior year with 92 receptions for 1,138 yards and 14 touchdowns, and also rushed for 564 yards and nine TDs (a 7.2-yard average per tote). On defense, he had 53 tackles, three sacks, and four picks as a two-way star at Sheldon High School. He was the state 6A “Defensive Player of the Year” as a senior for his 14-0 state champion team. He was an all-state pick at wide receiver and at defensive back his junior and senior seasons. As a senior he was named the league’s offensive and defensive MVP. He was team captain in football, basketball, and baseball his junior and senior seasons. His prep football teams had a four-year combined record of 52-2. His prep coaches were Lane and Marty Johnson (Marty is QB Jordan Johnson’s dad).
PERSONAL: Majoring in communications studies. His parents are Curt and Kim Strahm of Eugene.
