MONTANA: Joshua will start at the boundary cornerback position. He is Montana's fifth leading returning tackler.
2013: He played in all 13 games and started in one (Eastern Washington). He was 11th on the team with 39 total tackles.
2012: He was UM's eighth tackler with 46 stops. He played in all 11 games and started in four. He was moved from wide receiver to cornerback in the spring of 2012.
2011: He lettered as a true freshman at wide receiver, playing in 12 games.
HIGH SCHOOL: He played primarily running back, but also played defensive back, and returned kickoffs and punts. As a senior he rushed for 722 yards and 10 TDs and caught 35 passes for three TDs. He was a standout in track and field for Brophy, which won Arizona's Division I team championship in 2011. He placed in the long jump and in the triple jump at the state meet. He was named one of 33 top senior football players from Arizona and Southern California and chosen for the inaugural All-Star Game (he elected not to play in the game).
CAREER HIGHS: He had eight tackles at South Dakota last season and at Eastern Washington in 2012. He had five pass deflections against Southern Utah in 2012. He had an interception at Northern Colorado as a sophomore.
PERSONAL: His parents are Rhonda and Glenn Dennard. Glenn played football at Arizona State in the mid'80's. His uncle, Preston Dennard, played in the NFL for eight seasons (1978-85). Josh's older brother, B.J., played at Arizona (2004-08). Birth date: April 13, 1993. He is a sociology major.
