HONORS CANDIDATE
2015: Justin is the fifth leading returning tackler at UM. Will look to secure a starting position at safety. Honors candidate.
2014: Justin ended spring drills as the starter at strong safety. He was the Grizzlies 12th leading returning tackler. He played in 13 and started in 12 games. He had 63 total tackles with 31 unassisted. He had two interceptions, one versus South Dakota for six yards and one against Northern Colorado for one yard.
2013: He played in 11 games and had 18 tackles, which were the 18th most in the team.
2012: He played in five games and earned a letter.
2011: He was a gray shirt who signed to play at Montana in 2010 but did not enroll until the spring of
2011 and redshirted that year.
HIGH SCHOOL: He played defensive back and wide receiver as a senior at St. Bernard High School. His senior year he had 65 tackles, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, along with 25 receptions for 570 yards and six touchdowns. He served as team captain his senior year. He was named all-league at wide receiver his senior year. He was named his team’s “Player of the Year” as a senior. He had 17 career interceptions. His prep football coach was Greg Dixon. He earned three letters in football and two in track and field.
PERSONAL: His major is communications studies. His parents are Rick and Audrey Whitted of Los Angeles. Birth date: March 17, 1992.
