MONTANA: Kjelby will start at center for the second season in a row in 2013. He is also UM's short snapper.
2012: He played in all 11 games and started in nine. He was an honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference selection.
2011: He was moved from defense to offense in the spring and played in all 14 games, and started 12 contests at left guard.
UNLV: He came to Montana from UNLV, where he played in five games on the defensive line as a true freshman and had 6 tackles.
HIGH SCHOOL: He was a two-way starter and three-time letterman in football at Ferris High School...was named second 4-A team all-state at defensive tackle by the Associated Press...a first team All-Greater Spokane League selection...team captain as a senior in 2009 for the Saxons, who finished second in the state with a 10-4 record...also a first team all-state performer in track, where he earned four letters...track captain his senior year...high school football coach was Jim Sharkey.
PERSONAL: His parents are Mike Oiland and Lisa Alford, both of Spokane. His major is anthropology. Birth date: April 8, 1992.
