Kolarevic joined the Montana staff in June of 2026 as UM’s defensive backs assistant and works on defensive quality control as well.
Prior to his time in Missoula he served as the linebackers coach at Iowa Western Community College, helping the Reivers win the 2025 NJCAA National Championship. During that time linebacker Jerome Baker earned first team All-America honors, and five players from that linebacker room signed Division-I scholarships.
He played at the University of Northern Iowa, earning freshman All-American honors in 2018 and all-conference recognition in 2019. He then transferred to the University of Nebraska, where he recorded 60 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one interception. Following college, he had opportunities with the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints during rookie minicamps and spent the 2023 season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Economics degree from the University of Northern Iowa and later completed an MBA at the University of Nebraska.
