Quoting Coach Pflugrad: "Tyler had an excellent spring. When we had our staff meetings he was the one guy who just stood out. He worked hard every day, including going back to winter conditioning where he was tough on the freshmen. He was tough on the freshmen to get them going, but he was fair and a good teacher.
"Back to his spring effort - he was just off the charts. He needs to keep that enthusiasm and fire into fall camp. He is a fun, fun player to be around. He does a great job as a student host in recruiting. He is on our leadership council, and I appreciate what he does in that area."
