High School: Rated a three-star prospect by both On3 and 247Sports… On3 ranked him as the No. 24 overall player in Arizona… Helped Basha to a 2022 Arizona open division state championship… A three-year varsity player, Simmons appeared in 27 games for Basha… Totaled 112 career tackles (26 solo) including 50 his senior season… Also logged 13.5 career TFLs and 8 total sacks at D-end… Also had offers from Air Force and Nevada, with interest from Colgate and Arizona State… Came out of high school carrying a 3.7 GPA
