Criswell named co-player of the week

Eastern Washington guard Alvin Snow and Montana guard Kevin Criswell have been named Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Co-Players of the Week for games played Jan. 5-10. Snow recorded one double-double and averaged 21 points in two games while Criswell averaged 22 points and went 16-of-17 from the free throw line in a pair of games.
Criswell scored 24 points in Montana's road victory over Eastern Washington on Thursday. Criswell hit four three-pointers and went 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the win that snapped the Grizzlies' eight-game losing streak. In a loss to Portland State Criswell scored 20 points, including a 10-of-11 performance from the free throw line. Criswell, a sophomore from Colstrip, Mont., also had ten rebounds and four steals over the weekend.
Snow scored 24 points and had 10 rebounds in Eastern Washington's 79-68 loss to Montana. In the game Snow hit 3-of-5 three-point attempts and also recorded two steals and two assists. In a 70-55 victory over Montana State Snow scored 18 points and had five rebounds to go along with five steals and four assists. A senior from Seattle, Wash., Snow shot 50 percent from the field during the week and made 5-of-6 free throw attempts.
