Big Sky Conference Tournament Schedule Set

The schedule and teams have been set for the 2004 Big Sky Conference women's basketball tournament to be held March 11-13 at Dahlberg Arena. Montana earned hosting rights by winning the regular-season league title. The Lady Griz concluded an undefeated league schedule on Saturday night with a 35-point win over Portland State.

The top six teams in the Big Sky Conference advance to the postseason tournament. Seventh-place Portland State and eighth-place Sacramento State did not make the tournament field.

Thursday, March 11

Game 1...No. 3 Weber State (17-10) vs. No. 6 Eastern Washington (12-15)...5:35 p.m.

Game 2...No. 4 Montana State (14-13) vs. No. 5 Northern Arizona (11-15)...8:05 p.m.

Friday, March 12

Game 3...No. 2 Idaho State (19-7) vs. highest remaining seed...5:35 p.m.

Game 4...No. 1 Montana (25-4) vs. lowest remaining seed...8:05 p.m.

Saturday, March 13

Game 5...Championship game...7:05 p.m.

All-session tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Monday, March 8, at 1 p.m. Single-game tickets will be able to be purchased beginning on the tournament's opening day of play, Thursday, March 11.
