Tyler tabbed women's basketball player of the week

Hollie Tyler earned her first Player of the Week Award of the 2004-05 season after two outstanding performances last week at the Lady Griz Holiday Classic.
In UM's 83-52 first round win over Maine, Tyler had 16 points, nine boards, two assists, two blocks and two steals, while shooting 5-of-10 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
In the title game, the senior scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed a game-high 13 boards for her fourth double-double of the year, as the Lady Griz handed previously undefeated Florida State a 60-49 loss.
Tyler was 11-of-15 from the field and 5-of-7 from the charity stripe, and also managed one assist, one block and one steal in just 30 minutes of play.
The Leodore, Idaho, native finished the week averaging 21.5 points, 11 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting 84.6 percent from the foul line and a league-best 64 percent from the field.
For her help in leading UM to its 22nd Holiday Classic title, Tyler was named MVP of the tournament.
