Grizzlies travel to face EWU, PSU

THE GAME:
The University of Montana Grizzlies (19-5/8-3 Big Sky Conference), who stayed 15th in the most recent Mid-Major Top 25 Poll (on page 8),returns to Big Sky Conference action this week, playing the Eastern Washington Eagles (12-13/7-4 Big Sky) on Thursday, February 23 and the Portland State Vikings (10-15/3-9) on Saturday, February 25.

Junior forward Matt Dlouhy scored a career-high 21 points as the Grizzlies defeated the visiting Golden Eagles 88-74 Saturday in a BracketBusters by e-Bay game at UM last Saturday afternoon.
UM LEADERS:
Dlouhy made 7-of-11 shots from the field and 4-of-5 three-pointers. Sophomore forward Andrew Strait had 19 points, while senior guard Virgil Matthews had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and a game-high 7 assists.
at MONTANA 84, SACRAMENTO STATE 79:
Criswell scored a game and season-high 28 points and Strait added 25 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
GRIZ RANKED AMONG NCAA NATIONAL LEADERS:
In the recent NCAA rankings (Feb. 20, 2006), the Grizzlies are ranked sxith in the nation in field goal percentage (49.5%); ninth in assists (17.8 a game); and 20th in scoring offense (79.3 points a game). Strait remained fourth in the country in field goal percentage at 63.2%.
RADIO:
Griz basketball games are broadcast live on its flagship station -- Missoula??s KGVO-AM (1290). Calling the action for men??s basketball for his 13th season and his 21st overall is the Voice of the Griz, Mick Holien. The Larry Krystkowiak Radio Show, hosted by Holien, is broadcast live every Monday from 6:00-6:30 p.m., from Paradise Falls.
