Montana to host Sac State, Northern Arizona

The University of Montana Grizzly men??s basketball team (5-5 Big Sky Conference/ 11-12 overall) continues its 2008 Big Sky slate, hosting the Sacramento State Hornets (2-9/4-18) in Missoula on Thursday, Feb. 14, and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (7-4/15-9) on Saturday, Feb. 16. Both games tip off at 7:05 p.m. (Mtn.) in UM??s Dahlberg Arena (7,321).
RADIO/TV: The Grizzlies?? flagship station is KGVO Radio, and the ??Voice of the Grizzlies?? is Mick Holien. Neither game will not be televised.
LAST GAME (GRIZ):
At Montana 88, Montana State 76: UM had six players score in double figures en route to the victory in front of a season-high 6,226 in UM??s Dahlberg Arena. Andrew Strait scored a game-high 20 points, while Kyle Sharp tallied a career-high 18. Sharp, who started for the first time this season, made all seven of his field goal attempts and tied his career-high with a game-high 8 rebounds. Also in double figures for the Griz were Matt Martin with 16 points, while Jordan Hasquet and Ryan Staudacher scored 12 points each, and Ceylon Elgin-Taylor added 10 points. UM led 35-33 at halftime.
LAST TIME (vs. Sac State):
Montana 76, at Sac State 69: Hasquet and Strait combined for 32 points and 23 rebounds to lead UM. Martin made two key plays late in the game to put the Griz back ahead by double figures, hitting a three-point shot, and had a critical assist to Elgin-Taylor which led to a lay-up, giving UM a 67-57 lead with 2:14 to go, and the Griz then made nine of 13 free throw attempts, including 8-of-11 by Elgin-Taylor. Hasquet had a team-high 19 points, while Strait had 13. Strait grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, while Hasquet had 11. Sac was led by junior guard Loren Leath who had a team-high 19 points, while senior forward Justin Williams added 16 off the bench. UM led 34-32 at halftime.
