Selvig recognized with WBCA Victory Club Award

University of Montana women???s basketball coach Robin Selvig was recently named a Victory Club Award recipient by Russell Athletic and the Women???s Basketball Coaches Association. The award is given annually to coaches who achieve career milestone wins of 200 or more in 100-victory increments.

Selvig won his 700th career game, all coming with the Lady Griz, when Montana defeated Illinois, 59-57, at Cancun, Mexico, on Nov. 26.

Selvig was one of eight high school or college coaches who reached 700 victories or more during the 2008-09 season.

Selvig, who is taking his 18th team to the NCAA tournament this week, has a current career record of 725-203. He ranks fifth among active Division I women???s basketball coaches in both total victories and winning percentage (.781).
