UM to hold Military Appreciation Day Oct. 23

?The University of Montana Department of Athletics will be holding Military Appreciation Day Saturday, Oct. 23, when the Griz football team hosts Northern Arizona. Montana servicemen and women who are currently supporting military operations around the world will be honored during the national anthem.
To have someone recognized, send name, rank, unit, deployment location, hometown and a photo to: grizzlymarketing@mso.umt.edu by Thursday, Oct. 21.
In conjunction with Military Appreciation Day, the University of Montana and the Department of International Programs have partnered with the Montana National Guard and the US Manas Air Base Transit Center in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to collect warm coats, clothing, blankets and quilts for the victims of ethnic violence in southern Kyrgyzstan this past summer.
Fans are encouraged to bring these items to drop zones manned by UM ROTC cadets at the following locations: the Van Buren Street walking bridge, outside of the south entrance to the stadium and in front of the Adams Center.
