Junior Kari Opatz finished off a successful tournament with a 1-over 73 Tuesday as the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational concluded at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club at Lakewood, Wash.

Opatz fired rounds of 76 and 78 on Monday and finished the tournament tied for 24th at 11-over. She was the third-ranked golfer from among the four Big Sky Conference teams that were competing.

Montana (326-320-309--955) closed with a 309, its best round of the tournament, but still finished 15th out of 15 teams.

Starting her round on the par-4 13th on Tuesday, Opatz carded a triple-bogey. It was her only misstep of the day. She played her next 13 holes at 2-under. She gave back a stroke with a bogey on the par-5 9th but got it right back with a birdie on the par-4 10th. She closed with a pair of pars.

Her 73 was the best round of the fall for the transfer from Concordia-St. Paul and dropped her team-leading fall stroke average to 76.8.

Nobody else competing for Montana finished higher than 70th.

Freshman Teigan Avery (83-78-79--240) tied for 70th, junior Hailey Hoagland (83-82-77--242) tied for 74th, senior Alexa Schendelman (84-84-80--248) finished 84th, and senior Amanda Kahn (89-82-82--253) came in 88th.

Competing as an individual, sophomore Baylee Barckley (77-82-81--240) joined Avery in the group of players tied for 70th.

Washington's Julianne Alvarez (71-73-69--213) shot a final-round 69 on Tuesday to post a one-stroke victory over Gonzaga's Ciera Min (75-70-69--214). Cal State Fullerton's Martina Edberg (70-72-73--215), at 1-under, also finished below par.

Washington (291-298-291--880) won the team title by three strokes over BYU (306-291-286--883) and seven over Oregon State (292-300-295--887).

Montana will be off until competing at the three-day Little Rock Golf Classic at Hot Springs Village, Ark., starting Sunday, Oct. 30.
