Softball program to offer pair of summer camps

The Montana softball program, led by two-time Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year Jamie Pinkerton, will host a pair of camps this summer, with options for girls from grades 3-12. Both camps will be held at Grizzly Softball Field in Missoula.

The Elite Camp, for girls entering grades 9-12, will be held July 18-20 and will focus primarily on improving each player's skills in both individual and team situations. The camp also will feature live games.

The General Camp, for girls entering grades 3-8, will be held Aug. 8-10. The camp will offer younger players the opportunity to learn, practice and improve their overall softball skills, and feature various competitions and games.

The camps will be run by Pinkerton and assistant coach Melanie Meuchel, who led Montana to a Big Sky Conference championship in May and to the NCAA tournament in the Grizzlies' third year as a program.
