Montana sophomores Anna Cockhill and Grace Lopez were voted to the Big Sky Conference All-Tournament Team following the four-day event's conclusion on Thursday in Pocatello, Idaho.
Â
Cockhill and Lopez helped lead the Grizzlies to three wins in Pocatello, the first time since 2021 that Montana produced multiple postseason victories.
Â
The 2021 postseason was also the last time Montana had multiple players earn Big Sky All-Tournament honors.
Â
Cockhill went 8 for 16 over five games while drawing four walks. She drove in five and scored five runs.
Â
She got Montana's postseason started with a record-setting performance in the Grizzlies' first game, an 8-3 victory over Weber State.
Â
Cockhill hit a two-run home run in the first inning, then added solo home runs in the fifth and sixth innings as Montana won its first postseason game since 2022.
Â
It was the first three-home-run game in program history and the first ever by a player at the Big Sky Conference Championship. It matched the all-time Big Sky record.
Â
Cockhill, who had multiple hits in three of Montana's five games in Pocatello, set a program record with 12 total bases against Weber State.
Â
Lopez went 7 for 17 (.412) and led Montana with five extra-base hits. She drove in a team-high seven runs and scored six times.
Â
Lopez opened the tournament going 0 for 3 against Weber State before batting 7 for 14 over Montana's final four games.
Â
She drove in four in Montana's 11-7 comeback win over Northern Colorado, a game the Grizzlies trailed 4-0 and 5-1, with a three-run home run as part of Montana's decisive five-run fifth inning.
Â
She had three hits in Montana's 10-7 season-ending loss to Sacramento State. She doubled and scored in the first and second innings, and had a two-run single in the seventh.
Â
(Special mention to freshman Jessica Cherms, who wasn't voted All-Tournament but went 9 for 15 in Pocatello with a double, a triple, a home run and a team-high eight runs scored.)
Â
Cockhill finished her sophomore season batting .323. She hit 12 home runs, becoming only the fourth player in program history (Maygen McGrath, Delene Colburn, Sydney Stites) to reach a dozen.
Â
Her 42 RBIs were the most for a Grizzly since McGrath batted in 44 in 2021.
Â
Cockhill stole her 12th base of the season against Northern Colorado on Wednesday, giving her 39 for her career, which matched Gabby Martinez's program record.
Â
After totaling nine hits as a freshman in 2025, Lopez had a team-high 60 as a sophomore, 25 going for extra bases. She finished the season batting .368 and with a team-high 17 multiple-hit games.
Â
Lopez led the team with 18 doubles, finishing three shy of the program record, and was one of seven players with five or more home runs as Montana hit a program-record 51 on the season.
Â
Lopez's 47 runs scored tied for the third-most in program history and were just five off Stites' program-record 52 set in 2016. She stole 11 bases and struck out only 12 times in 163 at-bats.
Â
Cockhill was voted first-team All-Big Sky, Lopez second team as Montana finished the season with 22 wins, the most for the program since 2019.
Â
After going 1-14 in league in 2024 and '25, the Grizzlies went 9-6 in 2026 to tie for second, one game behind regular-season champion Idaho State.
Â
It was Montana's first winning record in league since 2019.
Â
Behind MVP Ava Brown, Idaho State won the Big Sky tournament with three run-rule victories over Montana (10-1), Sacramento State (15-7) and the Hornets again (16-8).
