The Montana women's golf team shot a final-round 308 to finish 10th as the Big Sky Conference Championship concluded on Sunday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.
Â
Freshman Kylie Esh, who opened with a 74 in Friday's first round, closed with a 73 on Sunday to tie for 24th.
Â
Sacramento State, the only team with three rounds better than 300, closed with a 280 for the tournament's final 18 holes to win the championship by 20 strokes.
Â
Idaho shot a final-round 284 to move up to second in the final standings. Northern Colorado finished third, Eastern Washington and Portland State tied for fourth.
Â
Northern Colorado's Beah Cruz and Sacramento State's Corinne Viden both finished the tournament at 1-under. Cruz won individual medalist honors with a playoff victory over Viden.
Â
Montana came in one shot higher on Sunday than the 307 the Grizzlies carded on Friday, but 17 shots better than on Saturday, when heavy winds led to Montana carding a 325, with five scores in the 80s.
Â
"Today was a lot better. Yesterday was as bad as it was going to get for us. We've had a better season than that, so I'm happy we were able to finish on a higher note."

Esh was the story for the Grizzlies at Boulder City and has been the last month. Six of her final nine tournament rounds were played at 75 or better, which dropped her season scoring average to 77.6.
Â
She played an efficient round on Sunday, making the turn at 1-over and playing the back nine at even, with a pair of birdies, giving her nine for the three rounds, three off the tournament lead.
Â
"She's picked up distance and she's scoring it," said Nord. "I still think her putting can really step up. Then watch out. If she gets her putter going, she's going to shoot some low rounds next year."
Â
Senior Baylee Barckley capped her career with a 76 on Sunday to tie for 40th. She ends her time at Montana with a career scoring average of 77.81, the fifth-best in program history.
Â
"Baylee fought through a tournament when she didn't ever really feel like she had her swing," said Nord. "She hung in there all day and all tournament. She's a good competitor and showed it."
Â
Sophomore Faith D'Ortenzio (78-80-81) tied for 42nd, junior Teigan Avery (76-89-78) tied for 46th and freshman Allison Sobol (81-82-81) placed 48th.
