
Three Grizzlies named Academic All-District

Three members of the 2025-26 Montana women's golf team were named Academic All-District on Tuesday by College Sports Communicators.

Recognized were Kate Bogenschutz and Hannah and Raina Ports, each of whom has a cumulative GPA north of 3.5 and was a key contributor for the Grizzlies last season.

Bogenschutz was honored for the second consecutive year, while the Ports sisters were recognized for the first time.

Bogenschutz, a rising senior who will be named Academic All-Big Sky Conference next month for the third time, has a 3.76 GPA as a biology major.

She had a scoring average for the 2025-26 season of 78.34 to rank third on the team and was Montana's top finisher at this spring's Red Rocks Invitational and Bobcat Desert Classic.

She tied for team honors with Raina Ports at April's Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in the heart of a nine-round stretch when she had a scoring average of 75.4.

Bogenschutz, who has a career scoring average of 79.5, will be Montana's lone senior in 2026-27.

Raina Ports, who will become a four-time Academic All-Big Sky selection next month, graduates with a 3.58 GPA as an integrative physiology major.

Ports, who owns two of Montana's top three single-season scoring averages, ended her time as a collegiate golfer in April with a program-record career scoring average of 76.51.

Her scoring average of 75.42 as a sophomore in 2023-24 is the best in program history. Her average of 75.68 as a junior ranks third.

Ports played Montana's tournaments as a senior to an average of 77.14, the fourth consecutive year she had the team's best average.

Over Montana's 37 tournaments the last four years, Ports was the Grizzlies' low scorer 15 times.
