The University of Montana women's tennis team is inviting the Missoula community to join them in trading racquets for bikes at the program's inaugural "Bike the Bitterroot Family Fun Ride" and fundraiser in September.
Â
The "Bike the Bitterroot Fun Ride" is a 10-mile round-trip spin along the beautiful Bitterroot River, starting at the Grizzlies' home courts at the PEAK Athletic Club on Blue Mountain Road and following the river to Lolo before returning to the PEAK.
Â
The first-of-its-kind fundraiser for UM Athletics starts at the PEAK on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at 10 a.m., and is open to families and riders of all ages and abilities. Day-of registration begins at 9 a.m.
Â
Riders will receive a free commemorative t-shirt, free raffle entry with the chance to win great prizes, and the opportunity to meet and interact with Grizzly tennis players and coaching staff.
Â
Entry fees for the ride are $40 for adults, $10 for ages 13-18, with riders 12 & under FREE. University of Montana staff and students are encouraged to sign up and will receive half-off their entry fee with a valid Griz Card.
Â
Event sponsorships are also available, with company-branded signage placed along the ride course. A $100-$400 donation also includes your corporate name on the event poster. A $500-$999 gift includes your corporate logo on the event poster, and a $1,000+ donation will earn title sponsorship of the event.
