The University of Montana Department of Athletics has expanded its partnership with INFLCR, a national leader in the Name, Image, and Likeness space, to launch "The Griz NIL Exchange," a new platform that will provide new opportunities for UM student-athletes to connect with outside businesses and organizations for NIL partnerships.
The Griz NIL Exchange will be the official marketplace for all NIL information, education, opportunities, and reporting. Interested parties and businesses will now be able to register through an online portal and partner directly with Montana student-athletes.
Businesses and other interested parties can immediately begin registering for the Griz NIL Exchange for free at GoGriz.com/NIL.
"Our goal is to provide as many tools as possible for Grizzly student-athletes to take advantage of name, image, and likeness opportunities. Expanding our partnership with INFLCR is another step in this direction," said Director of Athletics Kent Haslam.
Within the INFLCR app, UM student-athletes will have access to third parties that provide opportunities that range from autographs to promoting brands on social media to endorsements, as well as conducting camps, clinics, private sports lessons, personal appearances, supporting charitable organizations, and more.
After initial registration, all discussions and negotiations will be directly between outside parties and Montana student-athletes.
INFLCR is a national leader in athlete brand building, NIL opportunity creation and content management. Its platforms are used by thousands of collegiate and professional sports teams, with more than 70,000 active athlete users.
Every Montana athlete already has access to INFLCR's content delivery system thanks to its partnership with the Big Sky Conference that began in 2021. The system allows student-athletes to immediately and seamlessly access media, photos, video, and other content that bolsters their online presence. The system also provides analytics that will help student-athletes measure audience engagement.
After registering via the online portal, which is completed in four easy steps, a business, collective or individual will be granted access to a searchable database of Montana student-athletes. Those parties can then message the student-athlete directly or request contact information to begin NIL transaction discussions.
Interested parties are encouraged to register early to ensure access to student-athletes who will match their specific needs.
There are also other significant benefits available to the student-athlete through the INFLCR program. They include a payment processing tool that will ensure secure payment for the student-athlete, as well as an automatic tally on a consolidated 1099 tax form, a feature that will help student-athletes achieve more efficient and accurate tax reporting.
"We are excited to partner with the University of Montana," shared INFLCR General Manager Sean Kelly. "The introduction of The Griz NIL Exchange promises to open up fresh avenues for their student-athletes, empowering them to capitalize on their personal brand and explore NIL opportunities on a broader stage."
The creation of the Griz NIL Exchange further enhances Montana's commitment to creating best-in-class opportunities for student-athletes after re-launching its collective, Good Ol' Grizzlies, in September.
