Congratulations Spring 2023 graduates!

A total of 61 Montana student-athletes are expected to earn their degrees this weekend, spanning 24 different majors and 14 of the Grizzlies' 15 Division-I programs. Included on the list are a 13 student-athletes who are earning graduate degrees. Additionally, former long snapper Aaron Held (2012-16) is receiving his PhD in cellular, molecular and microbial biology; decorated track athlete Jansen Ziola earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree; and record-holding sprinter Carly Smiedala is getting a master's degree in addition to a degree from UM's Alexander Blewett School of Law. Griz thrower Cyisa Weidman is earning two degrees this weekend, in psychology and sociology.
In addition to impressive resumes in their sport – including all-conference performers and school record-holders – the majority of this spring's graduates have earned multiple All-Big Sky Conference awards during their careers and are graduating with honors.
Many graduating student-athletes already have jobs lined up while others will stay at Montana to earn a graduate degree while completing their athletic eligibility. University of Montana commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday.
