Ninety-seven student-athletes from Montana's spring sports were named Academic All-Big Sky Conference on Wednesday by the league office.
Montana's total ranked second in the Big Sky behind Weber State's 101 selections and is the most spring honorees ever for the Grizzlies.
Coach Jason Brown's men's tennis team, which won UM's Dusten Hollist Award in April for the eighth straight year, had eight selections, the most in the Big Sky in that sport.
Coach Steve Ascher's women's tennis team also had eight selections, which tied for first. Also tying for first was Montana's women's golf program. Coach Jimmy Mee's team had seven selections.
Coach Doug Fraley's outdoor track and field program had 59 combined selections between his men's and women's teams, a total that placed second in the league.
Coach Stef Ewing's softball program had 15 selections, which tied for second.
Nine of Montana's 97 selections hold a cumulative GPA of 4.00, 70 have a GPA of 3.5 or better.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Sky honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and meet their respective sports' participation criteria.
"Congratulations to the nearly 700 student-athletes who make up our Spring All-Academic Team," Big Sky Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said.
"In the year 2026, there are so many distractions to navigate, and this group has done that to an exceptional level, along with setting a very strong standard for their peers."
