Softball camps upcoming this summer

The Montana softball program will offer three camps this summer, an Elite Camp, a Youth Camp and a Cubs Camp.

The Elite Camp will be held from July 12-14, the Youth Camp and Cubs Camp from Aug. 7-9.

All camps will take place at Grizzly Softball Field and the Jackson Contractor Group Indoor Hitting Facility.

Camp instructors are Montana's softball coaches, current and former Griz players and other collegiate coaches.

During Elite Camp, players will receive position-specific instruction and work on throwing, fielding, hitting and game situations through controlled scrimmages and on-field playing.

Youth Camp and Cubs Camp players receive instruction on throwing, fielding, hitting, pitching and catching through drill work and cover game strategies on the field.

Elite Camp goes from noon to 6 p.m. on July 12, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 13 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 14. Youth Camp is held from 8 a.m. to noon each day, Cubs Camp from 2 to 5 p.m.
