The University of Montana Department of Athletics had 83 student-athletes on the Academic All-Big Sky Conference teams for spring sports, the league office announced on Monday.
Montana had the third-highest total in the league.
The Grizzlies had 28 selections from the women's outdoor track and field team, 26 from the men's squad, 13 from softball, six each from the men's and women's tennis teams and four from women's golf.
In all, the Big Sky recognized 667 student-athletes from across the league who have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and competed in at least half of their teams' competitions in the spring. A total of 102 of those have a 4.0 GPA.
"Seeing well over 650 representatives on our Spring All-Academic Team, with more than 100 boasting perfect 4.0's, reaffirms that our member institutions are putting a strong emphasis on success in the classroom while also performing at the highest level across all the sports they sponsor," said Big Sky Commissioner Tom Wistrcill.
"I want to congratulate each individual for setting a strong example for their campus community and for embracing the 'student' part of the 'student-athlete' label."
Coach Doug Fraley's men's track and field program had 26 all-academic selections, the most in that sport in the Big Sky. Coach Jason Brown's men's tennis team tied for second in that sport with six selections.
