2024/25 (Sr.): Expected to be solid at the bottom of the Grizzly lineup in his senior season… Clinched Montana’s win over North Dakota in three sets in the season opener.

Fall Doubles: 3-3
2023/24 (Jr. – Montana): Transferred to Montana in time for the fall tournament season… Won a doubles title in the West draw in his first ever tournament as a Grizzly and at altitude at the Bedford Cup in the Mountains at Air Force, beating Montana State and Weber State’s No. 1 pairs as the No. 3 seed for UM… Also went 2-1 in singles to advance to the consolation final of the West draw, beating opponents from BYU and Montana State… Advanced to the quarterfinal rounds at the ITA Mountain Regional in both singles and the consolation doubles draw, beating the No. 1 seed pair from Utah in doubles and opponents from Northern Arizona and UNLV in singles… Advanced to West consolation singles draw final at Gonzaga’s Bulldog Invitational, beating players from Seattle U and Eastern Washington.... Took second at the Peak Fall Championships in doubles.
2022/23 (So. – North Alabama): Went 9-9 overall in singles at North Alabama, playing primarily on court five… Won five of his last 10 matches… Went 7-8 overall in doubles, primarily on court three… Won four of his last six.
2021/22 (Fr. – North Alabama): As a true freshman went 4-13 overall in singles, primarily playing on court three for the Lions… Also went 4-12 overall in doubles.
High School: Represented New Zealand in the 2017 Junior Davis Cup… Also represented New Zealand in the 2014 World Junior Tennis Finals – a team that finished top-10 in the world… A four-year team captain at Westlake Boys High… Took second at the New Zealand National Secondary School Championship in 2019 and third in 2018
Personal: Parents are Lian Zhang and Mandy Ren, now residing in Brisbane, Australia…. Majoring in Exercise Science
