Soccer program collects another Pinnacle Award
10/27/2025 12:00:00 PM | Soccer
The Montana soccer program continues to distinguish itself on the national scene.
Â
Coach Chris Citowicki's program earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Pinnacle Award for the 2024-25 academic year, the organization announced recently.
Â
Montana was one of just two Division I programs, men's or women's, to be recognized, along with the women's program at Liberty.
Â
That made it two straight for the Grizzlies, who are into stacking success upon success. Montana also earned the Team Pinnacle Award for the 2023-24 academic year.
Â
To be considered for the honor, teams must pull off a rare trifecta: receive the Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award, plus the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches.
Â
In addition to those two criteria, teams must have a winning percentage of .750 or higher.
Â
Montana earned a Bronze-level Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award for the 2024 season while having team GPAs of 3.66 and 3.70 for the 2024 fall and 2025 spring semesters, respectively.
Â
On the field, Montana went 12-2-5 (.763) while capturing the Big Sky Conference regular-season championship.
Â
The Grizzlies, who host next week's league tournament, won the 11th regular-season Big Sky title in program history this fall.
