The Montana soccer team opened its two-match road trip to The Emerald City with a 4-0 loss against Seattle at SU's Championship Field on Thursday night.

The Redhawks (1-1-1), who played No. 23 Texas Tech to a scoreless draw in their most recent match, led 1-0 at the half before pulling away with three second-half goals.

Seattle outshot Montana 34-6 and created nine corner kicks.

The Grizzlies (0-2-0) had the first shot of the match, a shot from distance that Megan Wilson-Sofield put off the right post.

The match would remain scoreless until Kailee Wilson bent a left-footed shot into the upper left corner at 32:47 for what would be the game-winning goal.

Vivien Villarreal made it 2-0 less than four minutes into the second half, and U'i Kaaihue scored goals in the 59th and 65th minutes to conclude the match's scoring.

Avery Heeb got the start in goal for Montana and made four saves. She was replaced at the 69:14 mark by sophomore Jill Miliffe, who made four saves in her collegiate debut.

Wilson-Sofield took four of Montana's six shots.

Montana will face No. 10 Washington on Sunday at 3 p.m. (MT) at Husky Soccer Stadium. The Huskies (2-0-0) opened the season with 1-0 victories over Portland and San Diego State.
