Tickets going fast for Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame Banquet

MISSOULA - Less than one week remains to secure your tickets to the annual Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame Banquet presented by SG Long Financial.
This year's Hall of Fame banquet is set for Friday, Sept. 11, at the Adams Center on the University of Montana Campus. Fans have until close of business on Monday, Sept. 7, to purchase their tickets.
The banquet starts with a no-host social at 5 p.m., with dinner and induction ceremony starting at 6 p.m.
Fans have the chance to celebrate the careers of a legendary coach, one of the most decorated basketball players of all time, and one of the most prolific track athletes in Montana history at this year's banquet.
Two-time All-American basketball standout Will Cherry of Oakland, Calif., and 12-time Big Sky champion distance runner Loni Perkins-Judisch of Conrad, Mont., will be inducted as athletes. Kris Nord, a Missoula native who coached both the men's and women's tennis programs and the golf program in his wide-ranging 42-year career, will be inducted as a coach.
Tickets to this once in a lifetime event cost $75 plus fees and include a no-host social hour with Hall of Fame inductees, a plated sit-down dinner, and reserved seating. Tables of 10 are available as well. For more information, visit GrizTix.com.
The three inductees will also be recognized on the field during Montana's home football game against Utah Tech on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame presented by SG Long Financial was founded in 1993 to honor student-athletes, coaches and teams who have made exceptional contributions to the University of Montana's intercollegiate athletics program and who have continued to demonstrate in their lives the values instilled by their experience. Induction represents the highest athletic honor the university can bestow.
With the class of 2026, the Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame now includes 87 former Grizzly athletes, coaches and teams. Athletes become eligible for nomination 10 years after their careers at UM end. Coaches become eligible immediately upon retirement or departure from UM in good standing.
