JUNIOR COLLEGE: He averaged 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists as a freshman for head coach Steve Coccimiglio at Diablo Valley College. He shot 47.0% from the floor and 40.5% from three-point range last season.
HIGH SCHOOL: He four letters in basketball and three in baseball at Salesian High School. He was a three-time all-league selection in hoops. His 2011-12 basketball team won the state championship with a record of 34-2. He was a team captain that season. His hoops teams won three divisional titles and four league championships. He won the Sportsmanship Award at the state championship his junior year. His high school coach was Bill Mellis. He played high school basketball with Griz sophomore guard Mario Dunn at Salesian.
