HIGH SCHOOL: He was named Montana's Gatorade Player of the Year in basketball following his senior season at Billings' Skyview High School, when he averaged 22.8 points and 6.8 rebounds a game...all-state selection as a junior and senior...received Falcon Award in hoops in 2012 and 2013...earned three letters in basketball and three in football....his prep hoop coach was Toby Hill.
PERSONAL: His major is exercise science. Birth date: Sept. 13, 1994. His parents are Dan and Sheri Muller of Billings.
QUOTING HEAD COACH WAYNE TINKLE ON DAINE: "We ended up getting him late last year, and I am really excited about his future. He had compartment syndrome so he just had surgery, and he's out for a little while. He's a very good scorer, and he has good strength.
"He works awfully hard and he's very confident. I think he's going to be a player for us after his redshirt year, and may develop into a contributor his freshman season."

Not many people know this, but: baseball was my best sport, but I chose basketball.
My greatest moment in sports was: catching the winning touchdown pass on homecoming.
The best player I ever faced was: some kid in Washington.
The thing I like best about Montana basketball is: winning, tradition, fan support.
The thing that impresses me about Coach Tinkle: how he treats everyone as an equal.
My advice to youngsters is: Work hard, play hard.
My future goals are: To get a degree and have a successful career here.
