QUOTING COACH TINKLE ON KAREEM: "Kareem has kind of done it all. He's won championships. He's a stat stuffer. He was the MVP of our league last year.
"The thing that I really like about Kareem is his loyalty through the recruiting process. Through some people trying to get him our of here once he had that early success (at UM). He's a guy who is really going to have to lead us this year, and he's answered the call to this point. We're excited for his senior year, but I know we're going to be sad to see him go.
"I think the reason that he has so much respect from his teammates is because he's probably our most unselfish player. He's competitive and gets after it, but the guys know that if he has the ball in his hands he's going to make the right decision. He brings his hard hat just about every day. That's what tells me he is going to have a great year and be a leader for us.
"We've had a lot of good wings, guards, play-makers, whatever you want to call them, in the history of our program. He ranks right up there. When you look at the multitude of things that he brings, he will leave his imprint on this program for a long, long time."
