The 2025-26 season is Emma List’s second year as an assistant coach at Montana. She was hired in June 2024 after previously working at San Diego.
In her first year at Montana, the Lady Griz advanced to the Big Sky Conference championship game, where they were a last-second shot from advancing to the program’s first NCAA tournament since 2015.
Originally from Colorado Springs, List played collegiately at both Albany and Florida Gulf Coast.
She spent the 2017-18 season with the Great Danes, playing in every game as a true freshman on a team that would go 24-8 and make the WNIT.
When her coach at Albany was hired away by Boston College, List transferred to Florida Gulf Coast, where she spent the next five seasons.
She redshirted in 2018-19, then played the next four seasons for the Eagles, starting her final three years.
She was part of four NCAA tournament teams at FGCU, missing out on a fifth trip to the NCAAs after COVID canceled the 2020 edition.
In four years as an eligible player for the Eagles, List and Florida Gulf Coast went 119-13, 63-3 in league. In six years as a collegiate player, her teams went 171-26.
In her final season at FGCU, in 2022-23, she was teammates with former Montana Lady Griz Sophia Stiles. The Eagles defeated No. 5 seed Washington State in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
List, while still playing, served as the Florida Gulf Coast men’s basketball team’s director of operations in 2021-22 as part of an internship.
She was on the staff at San Diego for the 2023-24 season.
List earned her undergraduate degree in integrated studies from Florida Gulf Coast in 2020, a master’s degree in educational leadership in 2022 and a certificate in local government in 2023.
