2021 (Senior): Heart of the Grizzly Award winner, voted on by coaching staff... Academic All-Big Sky Conference for the third time... Played in all 27 matches, including 101 of 102 sets on the season... Started 19 matches at either outside hitter or defensive specialist, taking on a variety of roles... Ranked third on the team with 23 service aces (0.23 per set) while also ranking among the team leaders with 223 digs (2.21 per set, third); and 101 kills (1.00 per set, sixth)... Totaled 360 serves (second on the team) and a .922 serve percentage (third), and a .937 serve-receive percentage (second) on 511 targets... Was in double figures for kills three times and digs on nine occasions... Recorded the fourth double-double of her career vs. Eastern Michigan (Aug. 28), with 14 kills and 10 digs, in addition to three blocks and a service ace... Was in double figures for kills in three consecutive matches (Aug. 28-Sept. 1)... Spring 2021 (Junior): Academic All-Big Sky Conference… Started 13 of 16 matches at outside hitter, once again leading Montana for service aces… Totaled 18 aces during the shortened season (0.27 per set)… Ranked second on the team with a .945 serve percentage… Became a strong force on defense, totaling 157 digs (2.38 per set, third on the team)… Recorded 50 kills (0.76 per set, fifth), 17 blocks (0.26 per set, fifth) and a .921 serve-receive percentage (fourth)… Led Montana for service aces six times, blocking twice and digs once… Served up an ace in 10 different matches, starting the season with two aces in each of the first three contests (Jan. 24-31)… Totaled four aces at Eastern Washington (Feb. 21), to go along with seven kills and 10 digs… Recorded 10 kills vs. Montana State (Feb. 14), also adding 11 digs for her third career double-double… Was in double figures for digs eight times, posting a season-high 17 in a five-set win over Idaho (Feb. 28)… Also added an ace and career-high-tying five blocks in the victory.
2019 (Sophomore): Farmers State Bank Invitational all-tournament team… Academic All-Big Sky Conference… Played in 101 of Montana’s 112 sets, seeing action in 28 matches and earning 24 starts at outside hitter… Started Montana’s final 15 matches… Ranked fourth on the team with 168 kills (1.66 per set)… Led the Grizzlies with 32 service aces and a .949 serve-receive percentage… During Big Sky play, averaged 0.40 service aces per set, which ranked fourth among all league players… Added 158 digs (1.56 per set, sixth on the team) and 39 blocks (0.39 per set, sixth)… Led Montana for kills four times, hitting percentage in four matches, blocking on three occasions and service aces a team-high nine times… Seven times was in double figures for kills, including three times in the final five matches of the season (Nov. 14-28)… During the final two weeks of the regular season, she averaged 2.41 kills per set at a .236 clip, also adding nine service aces… Had 11 kills on .429 hitting vs. Idaho State (Oct. 17), also chipping in with 12 digs for her first double-double… Earned a kill on match point at Montana State (Oct. 29), sealing a four-set road win... Personal: Born and raised in Missoula… Parents are Michael and Kirsten Godwin… Has an older sister, Lauren, and a younger brother, Clay… Uncle, Clay Crippen, was a golfer at New Mexico… Cousins Kelsie Crippen (Montana), Sadie Crippen (Montana) and Maggie Crippen (North Dakota State) also golfed collegiately… Earned her bachelor's degree in management in May 2021.
