Nevolovich Named Player of the Week: The Big Sky Conference announced on Tuesday that University of Montana junior Stan Nevolovich has been named Player of the Week for his undefeated singles and doubles performance in last week's dual wins over Nevada and Gonzaga.
About Montana State: The Bobcats are led by sophomore Federico Ueltschi who is the 75th ranked singles player by the ITA. Montana State is coming off a 7-0 loss to New Mexico, a team that also swept Montana earlier this season. Prior to falling to the Lobos, Montana State had won nine of their last 10 matches. The previous Griz-Cat match up was the season opening dual match for UM, who lost 7-0 to MSU at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center (indoor) in Bozeman. Montana was without the services of top singles and doubles player junior Jan Steenekamp who sat out with an injury.
About Lewis-Clark State: The Warriors are led by freshman Dimitri Verabyou of Vitebsk, Belarus, who maintains a 4-2 mark at the No. 1 slot in both singles and doubles (w/Borja Molas). LCSC, the only Frontier Conference member school with a tennis program, has lost seven of their last eight matches dating back to their 4-3 loss to the Grizzlies on February 21. In their previous meeting, the Grizzlies won four-of-six singles matches en route to the victory, despite being without Steenekamp that weekend.
