UM Women's Tennis Falls to Gonzaga

MISSOULA, Mont. - The University of Montana women's tennis team won three-of-six singles contests but was swept in the doubles point in a 4-3 loss to the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Friday afternoon at the Robert O. Lindsay Tennis Center in Missoula, Mont. The Bulldogs improve to 10-11 on the year, the Lady Griz fall to 1-12.
Junior Lindsey Torgerson earned a win at the No. 3 singles position with a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Gonzaga's Leigh Orne. The Lady Griz were victorious at both the No. 5 and No. 6 slots with sophomore Jonna Schwartz winning 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 over Katie Sanders, and Malena Rosen topping Connie Head, 7-5, 6-4.
Montana returns to action on Saturday, April 17 as the Lady Griz face the 28th-ranked Sacramento State Hornets.
