Montana women swept by 46th-ranked Hornets, 7-0

The University of Montana women's tennis team lost 7-0 to No. 46 Sacramento State Saturday evening indoors at the Missoula Athletic Club. The win improved the Hornets to 10-5 on the year, 5-0 in Big Sky Conference play. The Grizzlies, who dropped their fourth straight match, fell to 4-9 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Montana managed a win at No. 1 doubles in the loss to Sac State. Sophomore Mari Castello and freshman Liz Walker teamed up for their fifth doubles win in six matches, an 8-6 victory over Luba Schifris and Joyce Martinez Gutierrez.
The Grizzlies (4-9, 1-1 BSC) return to action April 7 and 8 with matches against Northern Arizona, Grand Canyon University and Scottsdale Community College.
