Women's tennis loses 5-2 at Gonzaga

The University of Montana women's tennis team dropped to 1-8 on the season with a 5-2 loss at Gonzaga Saturday morning in Spokane, Wash. The Grizzlies return to action next weekend when they travel to California to face Santa Clara, Sacramento State and San Francisco.
Against the Bulldogs, sophomore Liz Walker and freshman Danni Paulson teamed up to win their No. 1 doubles match, but Gonzaga would win at Nos. 2 and 3 to take the early 1-0 advantage.
Walker doubled up her day's win total at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over GU's Emily Anderson, but freshman Kayla Moyse was UM's only other singles victor, picking up a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (4) win over the Zags' Carrie Schofield.
