Walker earns third POTW honors this spring

Montana???s senior Liz Walker is sharing the honor of Big Sky Women???s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played the week of April 14-21.

This is the third honor for the senior from Wandin, Austrailia, this spring as the BSC Women???s Player of the Week. She was also honored in 2006 during her freshman campaign.

Walker helped the Grizzlies claim the final seed to the 2009 Big Sky Tournament with a 7-0 win over Idaho State on Friday and a 4-3 victory over Weber State on Saturday in Bozeman, Mont.
??
She was undefeated at the top singles and doubles spots in the Grizzlies??? lineup this past weekend. She defeated Idaho State???s Lisel Lewis, 6-1, 4-6, 10-5 in singles play and downed Weber State???s Keya Jenkins 6-4, 6-1 on Saturday to earn the deciding point of the match in Montana???s favor.
