Adams leaving Grizzly basketball program

University of Montana basketball player Chase Adams is leaving the team to pursue other options, announced fifth-year UM head coach Wayne Tinkle today.
"We're going to help Chase find a school to continue his college basketball career, and with two years left to play, he's really going to have a good opportunity to go elsewhere and reach his academic and athletic goals," Tinkle said. "We really enjoyed our time with him here. He is a great kid, and obviously we wish him the very best."
Adams is a 6-3 sophomore guard from Tucson, Arizona. He came to UM from Bakersfield College, where he was an all-conference selection as a freshman, averaging 15.0 points a game.
Last season at Montana, Adams scored 29 points in 18 games, averaging 1.5 points per contest. He scored a career-high 11 points against Montana Tech, which was his only double-figure scoring game of the season.
