Game Notes
THE GAME: The University of Montana Grizzlies (0-2) continue their third-game road swing, playing the Seattle University Redhawks (1-1) on Sunday Nov. 23, in the Marv Harshman Classic, hosted by the University of Washington.
TIP-OFF: The Grizzly-Redhawks game in Elgin Baylor Court at KeyArena at Seattle Center will start around 8:30 p.m. (Mtn.), following the conclusion of the UW-Pacific game which starts at 6:00 p.m. (Mtn.).
RADIO: Tom Schultz will call the action in Seattle. Montana's flagship station is KGVO 1290 AM/ & 101.5 FM, and the Grizzly Radio Network from Learfield Sports. (Griz Radio Network on Page 7 of release).
TV/Streaming: There is no televison coverage of the game. The game will be streamed on the WAC Digital Network - http://www.wacsports.com/watch.
GRIZ LAST TWO GAMES: At Colorado State 83, Montana 66: The Griz out-scored the Rams 36-32 in the second half, but had a 21-point (51-30) halftime deficit. Jordan Gregory scored a team-high 17 points, while Weisner added 16. The Griz were 6-of-24 (25.0%) from 3-point range, while the Rams were 12-of-27 (44.4%).
At Boise State 72, Montana 67 (2 OTs): Mario Dunn scored 12 first-half points to pace UM to a 30-20 halftime lead, but did not score after that and fouled out early in the first OT. Martin Breunig led the Griz with 16 points, while Gregory had 15. UM had 23 fouls/12 free throw attempts, while BSU had 13 fouls and 28 FT shots.
LAST SEASON: The Griz were 17-13 overall and 12-8 (tie, second) in the Big Sky Conference. UM lost 70-63 to Portland State in the first round of the league tourney.
ONE STARTER BACK: Montana has just one full-time starter back in Gregory, while Dunn and Weisner were half-time starters. UM returns seven total lettermen.
