Montana's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be coordinating a t-shirt drive the next six weeks to put Griz-themed clothing on elementary-aged kids throughout Missoula.
Â
Through March 30, SAAC will be collecting Griz t-shirts at all home sporting events. Donations for the "One Shirt, One Body" drive can also be made by stopping by the Department of Athletics.
Â
The t-shirts, which will be distributed to local elementary schools, may be new or used and in good condition, without holes or rips. All sizes are welcome.
Â
"We are really trying to form a bridge in the community between the youth of Missoula and the University of Montana," said Darby Henthorn, SAAC vice president and junior javelin thrower for the Griz track and field program.
Â
"We want kids to know that they can look up to us and use us as mentors. We want to give them the shirts off our backs."
