
Anderson, Bannan named Academic All-District

Mack Anderson and Josh Bannan were named to the Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

Anderson is a four-time Academic All-Big Sky selection. He has a 3.58 GPA while working toward his Master of Business Administration in his fifth year in Missoula.

The Bozeman native has played in 130 games as a Grizzly, just four off Bobby Moorehead's program record of 134. He has played in 21 games this season, averaging 1.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Bannan has been Academic All-Big Sky in his first two years at Montana and last year was named to the CoSIDA (now CSC) Academic All-America third team. He has a 3.92 GPA in economics.

A second-team All-Big Sky selection as a sophomore and preseason All-Big Sky pick this year, Bannan has helped lead Montana to a 14-13 record and fourth place in the Big Sky standings. He averages 15.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, and earlier this season became the 35th member of Montana's 1,000-point club.

The Grizzlies will play three games in five days to close out the season this coming week, beginning with Portland State on Thursday. Anderson will be honored on Saturday night against Sacramento State with a pregame senior night celebration.
