Free youth clinic to be held Monday in celebration of girls & women in sports
1/15/2026 10:51:00 AM | General, Softball, Women's Basketball, Women's Cross Country, Golf, Women's Tennis, Women's Track and Field, Volleyball
In celebration of National Girls & Women In Sports Day – an annual recognition of females competing and working in athletics – Montana will once again be hosting a free youth clinic on Monday, Jan. 19, as well as providing free tickets to that afternoon's Lady Griz basketball game.
Â
With Jan. 19 being Martin Luther King Day, and many children not in school, it's a perfect opportunity to spend your afternoon with the Griz.
Â
The free youth clinic will feature many of Montana's female student-athletes and is open to all children ages 4 through 13. The clinic will run from 12-1 p.m. in the West Auxiliary Gym, inside the Adams Center, and will give participants the opportunity to cycle through and play various sports, while interacting with Griz student-athletes. Each team will have its own unique, fun activities for children to play and get to know more about the sports they love.
Â
Posters for autographs will also be available.
Â
All clinic participants will then receive free admission to that afternoon's Lady Griz basketball game vs. Northern Arizona (2 p.m. tip).
Â
There is no cost to attend the clinic, but all participants are required to fill out a waiver form. Please do so in advance, if possible, especially if someone else will be dropping off your child.
Â
For more information, or to claim your free tickets, visit www.GoGriz.com/NGWSD. Â

Junior Game Day Helpers – NOW FULL
Thank you to all who applied to become a Junior Game Day Helper.
Â
In addition to the pregame youth clinic, Grizzly Athletics will invite several dozen girls to learn what working in sports looks like. Assisting in areas such as PA announcer, photographer, team or equipment manager, trainer, and more, these future leaders will get a first-hand experience of working in athletics, in addition to a T-shirt and game credential.
Â
Be on the lookout in December or next January for your opportunity to apply in 2027.
