Rokos named Preseason All-Big Sky Conference

Montana senior Lucie Rokos, the lone returning starter from the Grizzly soccer team that won its third consecutive Big Sky Conference regular-season championship in 2025, has been voted to the 2026 Preseason All-Big Sky team the league office announced on Wednesday.
Rokos was one of 13 players to be named to the team, one of four defenders.
Rokos is Montana's only returning starter and one of five returning letter-winners for the Grizzlies, who went 11-4-5 last season, 5-1-2 in league to win their third consecutive outright regular-season championship, a league first.
Montana hosted the Big Sky tournament and advanced past Idaho and Weber State in shootouts to make the program's seventh NCAA tournament appearance.
Rokos redshirted in 2023, made three starts in 2024 and played in all 20 matches last season, getting 14 starts and averaging more than 55 minutes per match.
She started 14 of the season's final 15 matches, with Montana losing only two of those 15 matches, 2-1 at Northern Arizona and 2-0 at Washington in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Rokos, an outside back, was part of a back line that allowed 13 goals last season and recorded 12 shutouts. The Grizzlies ranked ninth nationally in shutout percentage (.600), 13th in goals-against average (0.64).
Rokos also was one of Montana's nine goal-scorers last season. Her goal in the 88th minute was the game-winner in the Grizzlies' 2-1 home victory over Nevada and sparked a five-match winning streak.
One of those five wins was a 4-0 home victory over Gonzaga. Rokos collected her first collegiate assist on Chloe Seelhoff's game-winner in the 18th minute.
Montana plays its lone exhibition match on Friday night, facing the Mount Royal Cougars in Columbia Falls at 8 p.m. as part of the 2026 Glacier Park College Soccer Showcase.
The Grizzlies open the regular season with a home match against Bucknell on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 5 p.m. at South Campus Stadium.
