Montana women's tennis picked up its third win in a row against New Mexico Friday in Bozeman, Mont.
The teamed downed New Mexico 5-2.
All three doubles pairs won their matches, securing Montana's first point.
"We started out playing very composed and intelligent in winning all three doubles matches," said head coach Steve Ascher.
Haley Driver kicked off singles competition with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Nikolina Grbac at the No. 2 spot.
Laurence Pelchat earned another point for the Grizzlies with her 7-6, 6-4 win against Kristin Eggleston in the No. 3 spot. In three sets, Ashley Mackey defeated Sarah Mahboob Khan.
Precious Gbadamosi clinched the win for Montana by beating Laura Richardson 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 5 spot.
"We continued to play a intelligent match mentally and were able to overcome a emotional New Mexico team," said Ascher. "I thought our players responded well in high-pressure situations and were able to step up and play some solid points under pressure."
Heather Davidson dropped her match 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot. Maddy Murray lost the No. 6 singles match 6-3, 6-0.
