Bobcats take 6-1 win over Grizzlies

Montana won two of three doubles matches to lead early in its match at Montana State on Friday morning at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center in Bozeman, but it was all Bobcats once it came time for singles.
Montana State (12-3, 8-0 BSC) won all six singles matches, five in straight sets, to defeat Montana 6-1 and set up a battle for first place on Saturday when the Bobcats host fellow unbeaten Northern Arizona (14-4, 8-0 BSC).
The Grizzlies (2-17, 1-7 BSC) will host the Lumberjacks on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. at the Peak Racquet Club in their final home match of the season.
Friday's match got off to a promising start. After Montana fell at No. 1 doubles, Nathalie Joanlanne and Cam Kincaid picked up a 6-4 win at No. 2
With the early lead riding on the result at No. 3, Lidia Dukic and Milica Panic pulled out a 7-6 (7-4) win in a tiebreaker to give Montana a 1-0 lead.
Montana State won in straight sets at Nos. 1-4 to go up 4-1 and clinch the match. Kincaid fell 10-6 in a third-set super tiebreaker at No. 5, and the Bobcats collected the final point with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6.
