After facing a tough Gonzaga squad on Friday, the Montana women's tennis team (4-4, 1-0 BSC) bounced back with a clean sweep win (7-0) Saturday morning against a competitive Lewis-Clark State team.

The Griz started the morning strong in doubles play. Senior Catherine Orfanos and freshman Eimear Maher worked quickly to win the match (6-0).

More of the same for the Griz on court three in the doubles. Junior Nathalie Joanlanne and sophomore Milica Panic also blanked the Warriors (6-0) to put UM out to a 1-0 lead.

"The team took another great stride in preparation for next week," Head Coach Steve Ascher said. "Lewis-Clark made sure to give us a good fight, and the girls were able to mix up different tempos."

Heading into singles play, freshman Bianca Bostrom made her presence known by making quick work of Lewis-Clark's Jen Roux and finishing first in singles play winning both sets (6-0).

Maher and Joanlanne also put together quick and dominating matches winning their sets (6-1, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-2).

Rounding out singles play, Panic completed the sweep for the Griz and put together an impressive performance following in her teammates' footsteps. Panic won both her sets (6-0, 6-2).

"We are feeling confident from our routines in practice and are ready for the next challenge," Ascher said.

The Griz return to Big Sky play next Friday when they travel to Flagstaff to take on Northern Arizona.
