Tournament Draws

After a solid opening weekend at the U.S. Air Force Academy, the Montana men's tennis team returns to action this weekend facing a similarly tough lineup with a Big Sky look at the Idaho State Invitational, set for Friday-Sunday, Oct. 4-7, in Pocatello.

As they did in Colorado Springs, the Griz will face off against players from Air Force and Boise State for a second-straight week, as well as Big Sky foes Weber State, Montana State, and the host Bengals.

The tournament will feature three singles draws and one doubles draw, with qualifying doubles matches set for Friday morning inside Reed Gym at ISU. The remainder of the tournament is scheduled to be played outdoors at Capell Park, up the road from ISU in Chubbuck, weather permitting.

Senior Max Korkh received the highest seed in the tourney, slotted as a three seed in the Black A draw and earning a bye in the first round. UM's other senior Ludvig Hallgren will also compete in the top draw and will open the tourney against Air Force's Johnny Mascagni.

Sophomore Oisin Shaffrey also received a three seed in the Orange B draw and will start with a bye. Also suiting up for Montana this weekend are sophomores Milo Benn, Jack Yount, Pontus Hallgren, and Ed Pudney.
